Overview of Services

Our state-of-the-art nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) facilities enable researchers to study molecular structures, interactions with binding partners, and dynamics of small organic molecules and biomacromolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, and carbohydrates), providing groundbreaking insights into the biological processes that underpin health and disease.

Use the Facility

This section describes how to apply for an account to use our facility and instruments.

Before you begin

  • Access to the lab is granted to authorized personnel.
  • Prior experience with NMR or training (see below) is required.
  • A half-day High-Field Protein NMR course is offered quarterly (Next Course: Apr 25th 2024 PM) for up to 5 beginners and students who wish to use the 600 MHz and 800 MHz NMR's with cryoprobes for studies of macromolecules.
  • The facility is open to collaborations.
  • You will need a UCSF ID card to access the lab.
